A color will not be lifted by a color. You’re going to have to use bleach If your hair is dark and if you already have colored hair, but you decide to go lighter. The same goes if you want to go blonde and have naturally dark hairs. Four levels will be lifted by a color normally.

Before swimming with colored hair, take precautions. Your hair can turn green by the salt water and chlorine in a pool in the ocean. Many also prefer doing Balayage.

The opposite color will be neutralized by color opposites on the color wheel. For example, an ash color with green undertones will cancel out the red if you have too much red in your hair.

Before you use a chemical color, wait for that to grow out if you've used a henna hair color before. A good result is not brought about by mixing the two normally.

After a color, you must never perm. Your hair color will be lightened by the chemicals in the perming solution.
